Regarding Advocacy and Consultation

Please look at my CV (and feel free to Google me). I charge $200 an hour. Our first meeting is free, and I’ll give you up to two hours. Often, all that is really needed is that free consultation.

I may be able to help:

• If you are having difficulty with your school district providing you the educational services that are in your child’s Individualized Education Plan.

• If you are having difficulty with your school district addressing the needs of your child and you think they may have a disability.

• If you have questions regarding the evaluation that the school district did for your child and need assistance going over or question those findings.

• I will not advocate for everything you want for your child.

• I can help you advocate for everything your child needs based on the data.

What you should know about me if you need an Independent Education Evaluation (IEE) for your child.

• I am not a pay for the diagnosis/disability doctor.

• I do not assess a child to get the results someone pays for. That is unethical.

• The results will speak for themselves and come from data from the child, parents, and school.

• I also do not do IEEs for children I advocate for because that could be seen as a conflict of interest.

• But I will help you work with the district to have them pay for the IEE (or much of it).
